The Visual Arts Revelation rewards the work of an emerging artist exhibiting at 100% L'EXPO at La Villette in Paris. The winner receives prize money of €5,000 and an exhibition of their work at ADAGP, alongside a critical essay or photographs of their work. The Revelation is awarded in partnership with 100% L'EXPO.

What are the application requirements?
The jury chooses a winner among the artists exhibited at 100% L'EXPO.

Conceived as a professional platform and showcase for the emerging art scene, 100% L’EXPO is the unmissable contemporary art event dedicated to emerging artists. Each year, La Villette collaborates with art schools to showcase recent graduates and highlight the challenges artists face at the start of their careers.
Neither a contemporary art fair nor a thematic exhibition, the project is conceived as a snapshot of emerging art, presenting a diverse range of profiles and subjects with each new edition.
In this 19th-century Iron Great Hall, the work of some fifty artists is displayed across more than 3,500 square metres, within a scenography entirely composed of recycled elements from previous events. What began in 2018 as an exhibition of former students from the Beaux-Arts de Paris has gradually developed into a larger-scale project, aimed at celebrating young French contemporary art.

These direct grants – ranging from €5,000 to €30,000 – were launched several years ago under ADAGP's Cultural Action program to allow artists to pursue and develop their work.
