In 2025, in France, for artist-authors who are direct members of ADAGP, the fee rates for collected royalties are as follows:

  • Library lending rights: 5%
  • Commission contracts, exhibition rights: 10%
  • Private copying, reprography rights, educational use: 16%
  • Resale rights: 16%
  • Other rights in France (including reproduction, multimedia, audiovisual, etc.): 20%

The average royalty fee rate was 11.8% in 2024, compared with 12.3% in 2023, representing a decrease of 0.5 percentage points.

N.B.: Rights collected outside France through foreign rights management organisations are subject to a fee levied by those organisations, generally ranging from 20% to 25%.
