Paragraphs

ADAGP contributes to the professional training of artists by developing Professional Workshops and by providing funding to AFDAS.

She also intervenes in art schools and associations to raise awareness about copyright.

AFDAS trainings

Since 2013, ADAGP has contributed to the continuous training of artists by funding AFDAS (Fonds d’assurance-formation des secteurs de la culture, de la communication et des loisirs) which offers discipline-specific courses and crossfunctional training (such as Photoshop, web design, drafting of artistic portfolios and budgets, etc.).

ADAGP Professional Workshops

To support artists throughout their artistic career, ADAGP initiated the Professional Workshops.

These workshops make it possible to address specific issues involved in certain artistic disciplines found in the ADAGP repertory: fine arts, photography, comic books and children’s book illustrations, urban art, design and more. The workshops last a full day and are organized in small working groups.

Led by two expert trainers with a pedagogical approach, each workshop is aimed at dealing with practical cases experienced by each participating artist.

Upon completion of the Professional Workshops, the artist “trainees” will have concrete solutions and practical tools to make headway with the artistic issues they encounter.

Interventions in art schools

The ADAGP takes action in art schools and associations to raise public awareness about questions regarding copyright law.

Their services are proposed in the form of 2-hour long workshops. Each workshop is led by an ADAGP employee, accompanied by an artist member who shares their experience.
The goal is to allow students and professionals to better understand copyright’s function and its impact in the pay of artists, as well as to present the tools that exist already so as to better manage their rights.
