The Children’s Book Revelation recognizes an emerging author each year.
The winner receives prize money of €5,000, a filmed portrait broadcast on the Arte website and the ADAGP YouTube channel, as well as an exhibition of their work at ADAGP.
The Revelation is awarded in partnership with La Charte des auteurs et illustrateurs jeunesse.
With its 1,400 members, La Charte makes its voice heard by public institutions in the form of clear positions, pricing recommendations or "hard-hitting" actions. It aims to ensure the promotion of children's literature through its cultural actions. The first role of La Charte is to defend the rights and status of authors. It represents authors before public authorities to speak on their behalf during reforms, leads social struggles to improve their working conditions and remuneration, informs them about their rights (brochures, round tables) and helps them concretely (free legal aid).
Who can apply for this prize?
This prize is aimed at emerging authors of a complete work (drawings + texts), residing or working in France, who have published no more than 3 albums, including at least one between June 1st and May 31st of the current year.

These direct grants – ranging from €5,000 to €30,000 – were launched several years ago under ADAGP's Cultural Action program to allow artists to pursue and develop their work.
