ADAGP and the non-profit Freelens have partnered to create the Transverse programme. Intended for a duo, this €7,000 grant aims to promote original narrative forms and encourage the creation of works between a photographer and an artist from another visual arts discipline. The project will ultimately be presented in a book, in collaboration with a publisher.

How much is the grant?
The €12,000 grant is divided as follows:
- €7,000 for the selected duo (photographer and visual artist);
- €5,000 for the publication of the book.
Who can apply?
- A duo comprising a photographer and a visual artist from the French art scene (have been living or working in France for at least five years or are French nationals living abroad). The duo may collaborate with a publisher;
- The duo must have proven professional artistic experience (exhibitions, publications, participation in fairs or festivals, etc.)
For what kind of work?
- The work must be a joint creation in the field of photography and another visual arts discipline that is part of ADAGP’s repertoire;
- The work must be an original creation and must be produced within one year of the grant being awarded;
- The work will be presented in a book published within two years of the grant being awarded.
What are the application requirements?
Each duo must submit their application in French. The process is available on ADAGP's application platform.
