In partnership with Bétonsalon – centre for art and research, ADAGP has launched a €15,000 research grant to further an artist’s work on issues of representation, production, and circulation of images, based on the archives of the Kandinsky Library.
How much is the grant?
The €15,000 grant is intended to cover the artist’s fees (€4,000), production costs (€8,000), including travel and accommodation expenses, as well as Bétonsalon’s mentorship fees (€3,000).
Who can apply?
This call is intended for French artists who have been living or working in France for at least five years, or who are French nationals living abroad.
What are the application requirements?
The application must be submitted in French. The process is available on ADAGP’s application platform.

Bétonsalon — centre for art and research is a non-profit organisation founded in 2003 that provides a space for reflection and experimentation, exploring the production and circulation of knowledge within contemporary society. Bétonsalon — Centre for Art and Research receives financial support from the City of Paris, the Île-de-France Regional Council and the Ministry of Culture (Île-de-France Regional Directorate for Cultural Affairs).
The Kandinsky Library, the documentation and research centre of the National Museum of Modern Art – Centre for Industrial Creation, keeps and makes available to a specialist audience extensive archive collections and documentary resources on 20th- and 21st-century art.
The Kandinsky Library holds nearly 300 archive collections and 13,000 artist files, some of which can be consulted online.
