The Strada grant supports urban arts outside of the usual territories of artistic creation. There are two programs: Strada Collectivités and Strada Festivals, with 4 grants worth €7,500 each.
Strada Collectivités Grant
Who can apply for the Strada Collectivités grant?
Local authorities which are developing an urban art project by commissioning an artist or an artist collective to produce a new work.
What types of projects are eligible?
A project by one artist or an artist collective on the French scene (residing or working in France for at least five years or French national living abroad) to create a new work. The work submitted may be permanent or not and must be produced within a time limit of twelve months of the date the grant is paid. The grant is awarded to three different local authorities in the amount of €7,000 each.
Strada Festivals Grant
Who can apply for the Strada Festivals grant?
Non-profit organizations which organize urban art festivals in France (outside of the Ile-de-France/Paris Region).
Organizations may apply by submitting the project of one artist or an artist collective on the French scene (residing or working in France for at least five years or French national living abroad) that they would like to present at their festival.
What types of festivals are eligible?
Urban art festivals that have been held for less than ten years taking place in cities of less than 50,000 inhabitants in France (outside of the Ile-de-France/Paris Region). The festival must have a connection with the local territory and be held within twelve months of the date the winner is announced.
