SORTIR – Les recommandations de l'Institut français d'Espagne à Madrid

Because Spain is an essential stop in the careers of artists from the French scene, ADAGP (French authors’ society in the visual arts) has partnered with the Institut français de Madrid to launch the Connexion Internationale grant and financially support Spanish cultural venues planning to exhibit artists from the French scene.

How much is the grant?

Three €10,000 grants will be awarded to the following fields: Fine arts, Applied arts – Photography – Comics, and Children’s Books, amounting to an annual budget of €30,000. This grant cannot be awarded to individuals.

Who can apply?

This grant is intended for private or public non-profit Spanish cultural venues with a permanent exhibition space (such as museums, art centres, artist-run spaces, foundations, festivals, as well as libraries for authors of comics and children’s books) which are preparing an exhibition of an artist from the French scene in Spain.

For what kind of project?

This grant concerns monographic or group exhibitions of artists from the French scene (of any nationality that has been living or working in France for at least five years, or French nationals living abroad).

The exhibition must take place within two years of the grant being awarded. The artists can be living or deceased. No ADAGP membership is required.
