In order to support mid-career artists working in moving image, ADAGP launched the first edition of the Création vidéo grant in 2024. This grant supports the creation of an experimental video work. Videos create a space for investigation and artistic expression that is essential for artists. Accordingly, two ADAGP-member artists or artist collectives will each receive up to €5,000 for their projects: one to support the shooting of the video, the other to support its post-production.

How much is the grant?
The two winners will each receive a €5,000 creation grant: one for the shooting of the video and the other for its post-production.
Who can apply?
This grant is open to artists or artist collectives who:
- are part of the French art scene (have been working or residing in France for at least five years, or are French nationals living abroad);
- have been ADAGP members for at least one year;
- have at least ten years of professional experience (exhibitions, fairs, festivals, etc.);
- have directed at least five videos presented in cultural venues such as art centres, festivals or dedicated platforms (excluding artists’ workshops and art schools).
What are the eligibility criteria?
The project must meet the following eligibility criteria, regardless of the duration of the video:
- The project must fall within a visual arts approach rooted in experimental creation;
- The project must feature new video works for which the applicants are the sole rights holders;
- The video must be produced within two years of the awarding of the grant;
- For the shooting grant, shooting must not have begun before the ADAGP jury convenes, and the project must not yet have a producer attached.
What are the application requirements?
The application must be submitted in French. The process is available on ADAGP’s application platform.
