ADAGP has created the Fanzine grant to support projects that embody the experimental and free-spirited nature of this medium.
How much is the grant?
Twenty artists or artist collectives will receive €1,000 to support their projects.
Who can apply?
Artists or artist collectives from the French scene (who have been working or living in France for at least five years, or are French nationals living abroad), working in the visual arts (painting, sculpture, photography, video, performance, drawing, comic books, street art, etc.), with at least three years of professional artistic experience (exhibitions, publications, etc.), and who have already produced at least one fanzine.
For what kind of projects?
The fanzine project can be either self-published or released with a publisher. The artist or artist collective must be the sole rights holder(s) of the fanzine. The fanzine must be produced within a year of the recipients being announced, published in France, and printed in a maximum of 350 copies. ADAGP will keep two copies for archival purposes.
What are the application requirements?
The application must be submitted in French. The process is available on ADAGP’s application platform.
