Reform of the RAAP

06 Jan 2017

The reform of the compulsory supplementary pension scheme for authors (RAAP) came into effect on 1 January 2017.

The implementing decree published at the end of 2015 introduces a proportional income-related contribution rate for authors affiliated to the RAAP. This mechanism abolishes and replaces the lump-sum contribution system by classes. It came into operation on 1 January 2017 and applies to authors’ 2016 income.

In January 2017, authors affiliated to the RAAP will receive a pre-request form indicating the amount of the 2015 income communicated by AGESSA or la Maison des Artistes. This pre-request form will enable you to communicate your 2016 income if you know it; but, above all, you will be able to modify your contribution parameters if you wish.

If you do not return the form by the deadline date, your 2015 income and the applicable rate in 2017 (5%) will be used as the basis for the first request for contributions (April 2017).

You can contact the RAAP directly for further information.
