Transverse grant - call for applications 2020
In order to contribute to the emergence of works between different disciplines, ADAGP and FreeLens bring forces to create the Transverse Grant and invite a professional photographer to design a work in pairs with an artist from another artistic discipline. Deadline for submitting files: February 15, 2021.
What is the endowment of the grant?
The scholarship is endowed with 7,000 euros for the winning duo.
Who can apply?
Both the photographer and the artist must have a professional background: exhibitions, book editions, etc.
The project must be presented by the pair: artist (or possibly a collective of artists) and a photographer (or possibly a collective of photographers).
French scene artists (living or working in France)
For what type of work?
A joint creation between photography, the source medium of the project, and another artistic discipline that is part of the ADAGP repertoire
The work must be an original creation and must be produced within one year of the grant award.
The restitution of the original work will take the form of a book, published by Sometimes editions, and must be published by November 2022.
Who will received the grant endowment?
The 7,000 euros endowment will go to the 2 artists.
What are the application procedures?
The candidate pair must send the complete application file, recorded in a single document in PDF format, in French only by electronic means on this link.
It should include the following:
Administrative file
The form completed online (see link above)
A short biography and a CV for each candidate in the pair.
Artistic file
A joint note of intent including a project proposal (maximum 3 pages)
A book of 10 pages maximum for each artist of the pair representative of his work and the project
Technical file
A project implementation schedule
A provisional budget

• Deadline for sending files: February 15, 2021 at 00:00
• Announcement of finalist pairs: March 15, 2021
• Sending of additional elements: July 15, 2021
• Jury meeting: November 2021
• Announcement of the artists receiving the grant: November 2021
