The Revelation BD ADAGP / Quai des Bulles 2019 prizes Eric Feres for his album "Sabre"

The ADAGP and Quai des Bulles, the Comic Strip and Projected Image Festival of Saint-Malo, are joining forces for the 4th year around the Revelation of the ADAGP / Quai des Bulles which aims to promote and develop encourage the work of young BD authors.

 

 

The BD Revelation rewards a complete author (script + drawing), working or residing in Europe and Switzerland, who published a maximum of three albums, including one between June 1, 2018 and May 31, 2019. The laureate receives a prize of 5,000 euros as well as a portrait by Arte and an exhibition on the ADAGP walls.

After a shortlist of 10 albums, a jury of professionals co-chaired by the artists Philippe Ramette and Sylvie Debré-Huerre and composed of Vincent Brunner (journalist), Robin Cousin (winner of the Revelation BD 2017), Chloé Cruchaudet (author), Pierre Lungheretti (director of the City of Comics) and Néjib (winner of the BD 2016 Revelation), nominated the grand prize winner:

The jury praised this "A mute and poetic story of great audacity, with a beautiful eulogy of difference and fragility."

Eric Férès received his award on October 26, 2019, at the opening of the Quai des Bulles Festival in Saint-Malo.
