Thibault BRUNET
for his artist's book AULT
Editions Mille Cailloux
The jury was seduced by this work.
"Scan of a cliff leafless over the pages, the object" Ault "raises the double question of use and wear: use of the book, monolith without images, and the wear of time. United by a very manufactured apparent binding, the pages contrast with the fractured irregular slice. Mobilized to scan the cliff, the use of advanced technologies simultaneously interrogate, at the scale of the book, its traditional codes: slice, binding and pages. "
The laureate receives a reward of 5000 euros and a portrait filmed and diffused on the Arte site. His work will also be presented on the walls of the ADAGP.
