Monographs collection : our winners are…
How can we encourage the distribution of artists' work at every stage of their career? To answer this important question, the ADAGP has created a new programme to support artists at an important stage of their career – the publication of their first monograph, presenting their productions alongside high quality critical texts.
Grants with a value of €15,000 are to be awarded each year to help to finance such works.
For this first edition, the jury consisted of artists Jean-Michel Alberola and Hervé Télémaque, art critic and Director of Salon Galeristes Stéphane Corréard, Marc Vaudey,Director of the artists' hub at the CNAP and artist, specialist in museum bookstores and shops Pascale Brun d’Arre.
The jury acknowledges the quality of the applications received, which demonstrates the importance of the first monograph in an artist's career. It demonstrates that these grants meet a genuine need in the field.
After deliberation, the jury decided to award the first set of Monograph Collection grants to:
1/ Alix Delmas, work published by "Le Bord de l’eau"
Publication date: March 2019
2/ Pierre Jean Giloux, work published by Zéro2 Editions
