EKPHRASIS GRANT: the 10 winners 2021

30 Sep 2021

ADAGP, Le Quotidien de l'Art and AICA France are pleased to unveil the 10 artist / art critic duos formed as part of the 2nd edition of the Ekphrasis grant.

Benefiting from a critical text is an essential step in an artist's career. Criticism confronts them with an outside perspective, inscribes them the history of art, and gives their work a literary dimension.

This is why ADAGP created the Ekphrasis grant in 2020 with AICA France and the Quotidien de l'Art which connects 10 artists and art critics.

Each edition is made up of 10 endowments, amounting to 2,000 euros each, which finance the writing, translation and publication of the critical text in Le Quotidien de l'Art.

Initially, 10 artists were selected by the grant jury. A call for projects was then launched to critics at AICA France so that they could offer their pen to the winning artists.
