Céline SHEN is the 2019 Design Revelation
Every two years, the ADAGP distinguishes a young talent in the field of Design. This year, in partnership with ENSAD, the jury of Revelation Design has rewarded Céline Shen for her project "L'aura du vêtement _ Le Trousseau".
EnsAD, National School of Decorative Arts, is a reference institution both in France and abroad. Every year, she reveals talents in the disciplines of Decorative Arts including Object Design, Graphic Design and Multimedia, Textile Design and Matter, Clothing Design and Interior Architecture.
In 2019, ADAGP joins this incubator of young talents to distinguish a "Revelation" as it uses to do in various sectors of the visual arts.
On July 5th the jury, co-chaired by Sylvie Debré-Huerre and Philippe Ramette, and composed of the designer Matali Crasset, Samuel Hackwill (2017 winner), Juliette Pollet (head of the CNAP Design and Decorative Art collection) and Marion Vignal (journalist and author) held to reward

The jury praised the rich universe, full of cultural narratives that mixes various artistic disciplines: design, contemporary art, fashion, performance, video installation ...
The laureate offers a coherent and aesthetically successful project, connected to societal issues. Her project is also part of an economic context that suggests development potential either in a luxury range or in a more accessible range.
Céline Shen successfully integrates several universes to achieve a very contemporary creation.
The laureate will receive a prize of 5,000 Euros and will be honored in a dedicated presentation on the walls of the ADAGP. She will benefit from a portrait filmed and diffused by Arte.
