2021 Strada Collectivities Grant : the winners
In 2021, ADAGP launched a new grant for local authorities wishing to place an order with an artist or a collective of urban art artists for the production of a creative work.
Because communities play a fundamental role in the support and dissemination of artistic practices throughout France, and because urban art contributes to renewing the experience of inhabitants with their territory, this grant aims to develop artistic creation. while supporting the sponsors in setting up their project.
For this first edition, the jury, made up of Rebecca Digne (artist), Jean Faucheur (president of the Federation of Urban Art) and Olivier Granoux (web editor of Télérama) awarded this scholarship to three winners:
- The municipality of Desvres (Pas-de-Calais) and its project with the artist inkOj for the visual transformation, through the painting of stanniferous earthenware tiles, of the space of a roundabout, in partnership with the Desvres Ceramics Museum.
- The town of Entre-Deux (Reunion) in collaboration with the artist YREN for the creation of a mural in a Street Workout space and the development of initiation workshops to urban art.
- The municipality of Creil (Oise) and the artist Fabien Mazé (Xkuz) for the creation of a mural on a water tower, in collaboration with the Espace Matisse, municipal cultural service.
Each of the three projects receives an endowment of 7 500€. The awarded artists and communities will also benefit from legal support to bring their projects to fruition.
