Elections: ADAGP calls on people to vote for the rights and freedoms of all artists
ADAGP was founded in the aftermath of the Second World War by artists of all origins, faiths and nationalities, who shared the ideals of universalism and sharing, and who had found in a battered but reunited France a fertile home where art and culture could flourish.
For more than 70 years, ADAGP has promoted these values of openness to the world and cultural diversity. ADAGP is honoured to welcome artists of over 120 nationalities, expressing themselves in more than 40 artistic disciplines, united by the universal language of creation.
Art thrives on differences, is enriched by encounters and builds bridges between peoples. It is up to us to protect this common heritage.
At a time when France is heading into the unknown and the shadows of division are looming, ADAGP reaffirms its determination to continue to ardently defend the rights and freedoms of all artists.
In the midst of fear and darkness, art remains the most beautiful beacon of hope.
